China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Henan Sub-Council (CCPIT Henan) was founded in 1984. It is a provincial foreign trade and investment promotion organization, composed of well-known personnels,enterprises and organizations in economic and trade circles under the leadership of People’s Governmnet of Henan Province and CCPIT. Approved by Henan Provincial People’s Government and CCPIT, it began to use the title of China Chamber of International Commerce Henan Chamber of Commerce (CCOIC Henan) cocurrently from 1988. The simultaneous use of the two names indicates that it takes double responsibilities: an international business and trade promotion organization under the direct leadership of Henan Provincial People’s Government, and also a local international chamber of commerce with more than 2,000 members.

CCPIT Henan and CCOIC Henan have set up 18 local and industrial branches in cities and industrial fields, and developed a great deal of membership enterprises, organizations and individual persons in the whole province. 35 famous enterprisers took the vice chairmen position of CCOIC Henan. These have formed an organizational network covering the whole province. CCPIT Henan and CCOIC Henan have developed contacts fo all directions and positions with economic and trade organizations in the world and has built up wide connections with overseas organizations and personnels of finance, law, industry , trade consulting services, travel and exhibition lines. They have signed cooperative agreements with tens of famous overseas chambers of commerce and associations of industry and commerce. With CCPIT Henan committee composed of leaders of relevent provincial authorities and relevant vice mayors of the cities under the direct leadership of the province, 3 major networks connecting the world, government and enterprises in CCPIT Henan and CCOIC Henan have initially taken shape.

In the past 20 years, relying on rich network resources, effective service and strict working style and with the guiding principles of promoting international trade, promoting the use of foreign funds, promoting enterprises management with interantional conventions and promoting diversified economic and technical cooperation with foreign countries under the leadership of the provincial government and CCPIT and the support from all corners of the society, CCPIT Henan and CCOIC Henan readjusted strategy, strengthened function, developed work sphere and widened services scopes according to the need of the provincial economic construction and reform and opening. They have made efforts to serve the key strategy driven by the opening policy, to serve the economic construction of the province and to serve enterprises. It has become a linkage and bridge connecting the world and Henan province and connecting the government and enterprises. It has actively contributed for the economic development of Henan province in promoting foreign trade, using foreign funds, introducing advanced foreign technologies and making diversified economic and technical cooperation between China and foreign countries.
