2.Business Scope
The aims of Henan Foreign Economic Exchange Center are to organize economic exchange, introduce advanced foreign technology, conduct activities of Sino-foreign economic and technological cooperation in various forms, to promote the development of economic and trade relations between Henan and foreign countries.
(1) To undertake business, education exchange; invite and receive international business and educational delegation; organize Henan business and education delegations to visit foreign countries;
(2) To investigate and research foreign and domestic markets; collect and compile the relevant economic information; provide credit investigation for foreign customers;
(3) To strengthen cooperation with international civil organizations; improve publicity of outcome of aid-China programs provided by foreign civil organizations;
(4) To invite business and finance experts abroad and domestic to make lectures; hold economic and technological seminars and training programs;
(5) To promote introduction of foreign investment and technology; develop foreign economic and trade cooperation;
(6) To organize economic exchange and technology research attended by business, education professional people;
(7) To organize, participate or jointly hold international seminars with the relevant foreign institutions;
(8) To provide local companies, scientific research institutions and students who are studying abroad with service of international economy, technology, scientific education, consultancy;
(9) To build up connections with other provinces and cities outside Henan, exchange ideas and promote mutual development;

Secretary General Fan Guojun of CCPIT/CCOIC communicated with delegates of Ambassadorial Delegation on June 2002.

3.Achievements
(1) Participate in organizing 2002 China Henan Economic & Trade Fair, which sets the record in Henan's history. More than 2000 overseas clients from foreign countries and areas attended the Fair. The Fair promotes the development of Henan foreign trade and contributes to the opening-up of Henan enterprises;
(2) Make great achievements in organizing Henan business delegations to visit foreign countries and absorb foreign investment. 20 delegations about 300 people have been sent to West Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Russia for business investigation which involved in various fields like electronic, mechanic, food, water resources and trade, etc.;

(3) Invite the former Deputy Professor of Harvard University, an expert of UNDP, Dr Clyde Zalut to teach English in Henan Province. Two months English Training Courses for Henan Provincial Agencies are taught by him. Meanwhile, Dr Clyde Zalut made speeches on English learning for college students from Zhengzhou University, etc.;
(4) Build a long term cooperation relationship with Mrs Linda Braun, New Zealand Educator and Principal of Southland Girls High School on English training and cultural exchange. The goal of the cooperation is to satisfy the needs for English talents in China market through multi-level English training program.
With China's entry into the WTO, opening-up will be undertaken further, which provides new challenges and opportunities for us. The Center will enhance foreign communication and cooperation with foreign organizations and groups for new cooperation in other fields and promote its own advantages and position.
